This job originally started as an inspection and turned into a complete engine overhaul. Bay Power received the call and had 2 days’ notice to get a three-man team ready and overseas to board the ship. While the ship was underway the engine overhaul was completed which included: brand new OEM heads, liners, pistons, rods & bearings, marine head bearings and they also rebuilt the injectors and fuel pumps. The engine was disassembled on the ships East Coast route, parts were ordered and picked up upon the ships return to Europe where our technicians began the rebuild stage of the engine.
